Hi, I'm Lukas
In 2015 I moved into the world of design with the beginning of my bachelor studies in Media and communication design. During my studies I explored various design disciplines and engaged with the design thinking approach of collaborative problem solving and iteration. What resonated with me the most was that design isn't just a process or way of working, it's an attitude. User Experience Design embodies this sentiment and encompasses my affinity for technology. This is why I graduated in 2019 with my bachelor thesis "User Experience as a driving force for ecological behavioural change". My thesis project "EcoBux" was nominated for the Kölner Design Preis 2019 and was exhibited at the Museum für Angewande Kunst in Cologne. The EcoBux App tracks your carbon footprint and rewards positive behaviour with the fictitious currency of the same name while leveraging storytelling and incentivation techniques.
Design as an attitude.
Afterwards, I started my master's degree in Design Management in 2020 to deepen my knowledge on design strategy and the value of a symbiotic relationship between design and management. In my master thesis "Purpose and New Work - Value-based change in companies" I analyzed the topic of Purpose on an individual and corporate level and related these findings to the social utopia "New Work" by Frithjof Bergmann. I successfully completed my degree in 2021.
I have worked for a diverse set of clients in industries such as Telco, Smart Home, Energy, Aviation, Mobility, Banking, and FMCG. Currently working as an UX Designer at Manyone, the strategy-design hybrid.
